RAMDisk creates a virtual hard drive using your computer's memory. The ramdisk is many times faster than a regular hard disk and will speed up any application that reads/writes a lot of files. RAMDisk will also save and restore "images" of the it's contents, including at shutdown/startup so it "feels" like a regular disk drive that does not lose its contents at shutdown.
