Process Supervisor applies user configured rules to running processes to temporarily restrain out-of-control processes, default specific processes to certain priorities, terminate unallowed processes, and log executions. In addition, the graphical user interface allows for manual viewing and manipulation of running processes. AutoMode sequentially executes a list of processes at a configurable time interval. These processes may also be supplied command line parameters. Each process is started when its predecessor finishes. Processes are entered into a screen display and a log file when started and completed. Information to control AutoMode is stored in a convenient parameter (Ini) file. Multiple parameter files may be used to control different sets of processes.

It's possible to do quite a bit of (hopefully temporary) damage if you don't know what you're doing, but equally it's possible to improve your PC's performance for specific tasks without shelling out for new hardware.
